Blessed by Royal Signatures

Greenock was a sleepy old port town that had not seen much action in a lot of years. It was clear that our tub was noticed.
Dropping by the local government building gave us opportunity for 1 hour guided tour from an alderman. The cambers and courthouse had been built in the mid 1850s when ship building was big industry there. The evidence of a less then prosperous present was everywhere.
When we met the Mayor he was quick to show us the royal signatures in the guest book from when the royal family had visited in 1947.
Having taken engineering I was very interested in the James Watts Museum. There were many working patent models of large steam ship drive systems. Yahoo. Posted by Picasa
